Courses on cat welfare, cat
behaviour, cat behavior, cattery management, running a cattery,
managing a cattery
There are many professional courses available on cat welfare,
cat behaviour and cattery management. These will be run by accredited
or renowned organisations, colleges or universities. Some provide
recognised qualifications. Intensive, short and long-term courses
are available by correspondence and attendance.
On-the-job cattery management training is
also offered by some boarding catteries, and volunteer work
offered by rescue catteries - both should considered as work
experience and 'hands-on' knowledge and practice.
Our Recommendation:
For multi-cat owners, budding cat counsellors and future/existing
cattery owners we highly recommend Cat
Confidential and Cat
Detective books by Vicky Halls.
